Welcome to our little island of paradise, in this vast electronic ocean. Like many other Parrotheads, we would like to share a few of our tales of tropics, real and imaginary.Sadly, the latter always being visited much more than we would like.We hope you enjoy your visit, and take a little time to curl your toes in the sand and let out a long needed sigh, as the sun sets, and the moon rises, on another tropical day in our paradise.

Graveyard of the Atlantic
Graveyard of the Atlantic

As the heading says under our ship, we live onshore, adjacent to one of the most treacherous parts of the Atlantic. It is an area that stretches the North Carolina coast.

We harbor in an area known as the Outer Banks, in a town called Nags Head.

The Outer Banks are a very thin stretch of land that justs out into the Atlantic. The ocean on our east, and the sound waters on the west.Somp parts of the banks are thin enough where the ocean waters have met the sound waters, during strong N'oreasters. Many ships have been lost along this coast over the last several hundred years. From pleasure craft, barges and BARQUENTINE's. Even an occasional bridge.
From your crazy weekend warrior, to the likes of Blackbeard, whose ship has been discovered off the southern Banks near Morehead City.
